The next Curlious litter is planned for Spring/Summer 2026, co-bred with my friend Neil (follow him on Instagram at @jatakatails). The puppies will be raised in Ontario, and I'll be working closely with Neil throughout the process, mentoring him as he selects the stud dog, raises the litter, and places each puppy in the right home. Wait List / Puppy Applications - Join our Newsletter!

We do not maintain a traditional wait list. Instead, puppy applications open once a pregnancy has been confirmed, typically 4–5 weeks after breeding. Our quarterly newsletter shares general updates, planned and confirmed litters, and notifications when puppy applications become available. We encourage interested families to subscribe to stay informed and receive updates directly in their inbox.

Are Manchester Terriers a Rare Breed?

In Canada, the Manchester Terrier remains a small and declining breed, as shown by registration and litter data since 2006. The most recent figures from 2024 show 10 litters and 44 individual dogs registered. These totals include not only puppies from Canadian litters but also imported dogs, and registrations do not always occur in the same year a litter is born. This helps explain fluctuations such as the low total of 14 individuals in 2023. For example, litters born late in the year, including the Criminals litter born in November 2023, may not be registered until the following year.

Internationally, the breed faces similar challenges. While the breed is registered in Canada and the United States as varieties (Toy & Standard), in the rest of the world they are distinct breeds; the Manchester Terrier and the English Toy Terrier. Both are listed as Vulnerable Native Breeds with the Royal Kennel Club, reflecting low registration numbers and ongoing concern for their long-term stability.
